Duplicating the spaces you can use more players

DESCRIPTION

The exercise develops in a grid 18x15 (with a smaller grid inside), where 6 red players face 4 yellow players. The exercise starts with a 4vs2 inside of the smaller grid. After 5 passes the red player can pass the ball to a teammate positioned inside of the larger grid, thus starting a 6vs4 that involves all the players. The red players in possession of the ball must maintain an organized formation. Objective of the exercise is to consolidate ball possession in a tight space (first phase), using quick moves (often one-touch), and maintaining possession in bigger spaces, organized in a diamond formation with two supporting players inside of it.

This is a time exercise, with the coach switching the defending players inside of the small grid.

The exercise has also an important fitness component for the defending group.
